Legacy software

Legacy software is an outdated system that is still in use, often because it is crucial for a company's daily operations. This reliance makes switching to a new system seem risky and unreliable—why change something that works?

However, legacy systems can cause many issues. They are a financial drain, fall short compared to up-to-date competition, lack scalability, and offer no protection from modern cyber threats. Fortunately, there are several ways to upgrade a legacy system, either by improving the existing system while keeping all data intact or migrating the data into a new one.
